Our Founders

Law for Change was established in 2022 by Stephen Kinsella of the Laura Kinsella Foundation and David Graham of Changing Ideas together with philanthropy expert and law reformer Charles Keidan.

Stephen Kinsella is an accomplished EU anti-trust lawyer, founder of the campaigning group Clean Up The Internet and a board member of Hacked Off and Reprieve. David Graham is a philanthropist and funder of ideas to achieve change. Charles Keidan is a successful claimant in the UK Supreme Court where he and his partner won a landmark ruling paving the way for the introduction of civil partnerships for all couples at the end of 2019.

The three founders set up the fund in the belief that there are real societal harms that can and need to be addressed through legal actions in the public interest. The Law for Change Fund aims to help fill this gap. It responds to a need for more strategic use of resources, based on sound legal expertise, to advance social progress.
