Our belief is simple - that rigorously enforcing or changing the law can be pursued for public good.

Law for Change was founded on the conviction that there are a range of societal harms that can and must be addressed through legal actions in the public interest. Our founders observed the stark lack of funding for public interest cases that prevent important, and potentially life-changing, legal claims getting over the line. The Law for Change fund was set up to fill this gap.

The fund is unique in its agility.  We respond to an acute need for more strategic use of resources, based on sound legal expertise with the aim of advancing social progress.
